We offer the following tests:
BACTERIAL TEST
This test measures the total coliforms (bacteria) present in the water including E.Coli. This test should be used for BOIL-YOUR-WATER notices, natural disasters and floods, or for general health concerns or possibilities of bacteria in the water. Water samples are colleceted at the well. This test is NOT recommended for new-home purchases.
VA/FHA/USDA TEST
This test measures the total coliforms (bacteria) including E.Coli, Nitrates, Nitrites, and Lead in the water. This is the minimum level of testing needed for real-estate closings and new-home purchases. For this test to be conducted, water must be collected at the well and kitchen sink after no use for at least 8 hours (generally overnight without using water). This test is recommended for new-home purchases and real-estate closings.
PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL WELL ASSESSMENT (PIWA)
This test measures the total coliforms (bacteria) including E.Coli, Nitrates, Nitrites, Lead, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Iron, Sodium, pH, Alkalinity, TDS, Fluoride, Chloramines, Chlorine, Sulfates, Hydrogen Sulfide, and total combined hardness. This test should be used for customers who have never tested their water before, or if an unknown impurity is suspected in the water. While this test is quite comprehensive, it should be noted this test does not test for EVERY known impurity in the EPA's National Primary Drinking Water Regulations (NPDWR). It does test for the known impurities here in northeast Florida. Water samples must be collected at the well and kitchen sink after no use for at least 8 hours (generally overnight without using water).
OTHER SELECTIVE TESTS
If your property is located near an industrial plant or farm, or if you suspect another type of impurity in your water not commonly found in the region, you will need a selective water analysis. These tests vary widely and may include multiple collection sites. These tests can be very specific and require additional tools or handling procedures. Get with us for more information.
NOTE: all samples must be kept on ice and transported to a state-certified lab along with all completed paperwork within the same day for the test to be accurate. Disinfection of the site may be required under certain circumstances. Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for results.

SAMPLE WATER TESTING
Not sure what type of test you'll need? Curious about testing for your family? If you're in the area, feel free to drop off a sample of water to us. We'll test it for the basics and let you know if you should be concerned or if further testing is needed. Make sure you put your water sample in a bottle that has only been used for water (preferrably a previously-used water bottle) and attach your name, date taken, and best contact number somewhere on the bottle. We'll test it for you and call you with the results. Our sample water tests are not exact, but they will help indicate whether you need additional testing or if your water treatment systems are currently working. You can grab a sample from anywhere on your property too. Curious about the water your well is producing? Grab a sample from the well. Questioning whether your drinking water system is working efficiently? Grab a sample from your drinking water faucet. We'll test any water and give you the results. And all of this is of course, ABSOLUTELY FREE!
